Junior Ben Lubarsky was named all-area boys basketball Player of the Year for small schools by The Palm Beach Post and The Sun Sentinel.

The biggest shot of Ben Lubarsky’s career came just two weeks ago. Facing Miami Country Day on the road in the Class 4A regional semifinals, the junior had the ball in his hands as the clock was winding down with the game tied. Lubarsky then buried the game-winning jumper as time expired to give the Bucs a 56-54 win.
“It was crazy,” Lubarsky said. “I had goosebumps for like an hour after in the car ride home.”
