The school has announced this year’s community service partnership with Place of Hope, a Palm Beach County non-profit dedicated to providing stable, loving environments for children, youth, and families in crisis.
Each year, Benjamin selects a local organization to support through a year-long service initiative. Applications from area nonprofits are reviewed by a school committee, which carefully evaluates potential partners based on community impact and student engagement opportunities.
Founded in 1998, Place of Hope works to break the cycles of child abuse, neglect, homelessness, and poverty. The organization offers comprehensive programs that promote healing, independence, and long-term success for those it serves. From foster care and family outreach to transitional housing and human trafficking prevention, Place of Hope provides what it calls a “hand-up” to those in need.
“Concern for others and a commitment to serve society have always been integral to Benjamin’s mission and culture,” Director of Student Services Student Poncy wrote in an announcement to the school community. “Partnering with Place of Hope allows our students and families to live out those values in a meaningful way.”
In the coming weeks, representatives from each of Benjamin’s divisions will meet with Place of Hope leadership to develop service projects and engagement opportunities for the year ahead. Past school-wide initiatives have focused on issues such as hunger, veterans’ support, education, hurricane relief, and mental health.
As the 2025–26 collaboration begins, the school encourages students, families, faculty, and alumni to take part in this effort and continue Benjamin’s longstanding tradition of compassionate service and community impact.
