Marshall Cup Drives Support for Alumni Legacy Endowment

More than 100 golfers gathered at The Dye Preserve on May 4 for The Benjamin School’s newly renamed Marshall Cup, formerly known as the Annual Alumni Golf Classic, helping raise funds for the Alumni Legacy Endowment.

Now in its fifth year, the tournament raised funds for the Alumni Legacy Endowment to help provide tuition support for alumni legacy families with children in WOW and Pre-Kindergarten, with hopes of expanding assistance across all grade levels in the future.

Co-Chairs Sam Cohen ‘04 and Lindsey (Sachs) Dodge ‘07 said the continued growth of the event has been instrumental in making the endowment viable.

“We hope with continued support and growth of the tournament, the Endowment will be able to provide support to Legacy families throughout all grades,” Cohen said.

This year’s tournament marked another milestone for the event, with golfer registrations and sponsorships selling out in record time.

“I’m thrilled to have served as the co-chair of the Marshall Cup this year,” said Dodge. “It’s been amazing to see how much this event has grown over the years. As a proud 14-Year Club member and now a Benjamin parent, it’s especially meaningful to help host this event and be a part of a community that has meant so much to my family over the years.”

With increasing participation and community support, the Marshall Cup continues to strengthen connections among Benjamin alumni while investing in future generations of Buccaneers.
