BASH Committee Principles of Good Practice

 

 

The responsibility of a BASH Advertising Committee member is to fully support the school and the development program by being an active member for the committee(s) for which you have volunteered. The goal of all development efforts is to advance the mission of The Benjamin School.  The following principles of good practice are offered to encourage each member in their day-to-day activities:

 

1. Confidentiality is an absolute duty of every member of the BASH Committee.  The advertising information you receive, including the advertising spreadsheet and notes, pricing, contracts, letters, and acknowledgments are to be used for Benjamin School BASH only. Every person has a duty to keep all matters confidential that are stated to be so in a meeting and all constituent information confidential unless it is specifically clarified at a meeting that it is for public knowledge.      

2. All BASH Committee members have an obligation to actively support the Head of School, the Board of Trustees and the Advancement Office in the fulfillment of the School’s mission and to demonstrate that support within the School and community.

 

3.)    Each individual should remember that he or she is a representative of the School and act accordingly at any meetings or conferences he or she attends.

 

4.)     All individuals should guard against any conflicts of interest both professional and personal.

 

5.)      All publications and solicitations and requests for mailings and reports must be approved by the Advancement Office and requested two (2) weeks in advance.

 

6.)      When purchasing an item related to BASH, please consult with the Advancement Office prior to making the purchase. For reimbursement, a receipt must be submitted to Sheena Wilber, Director of Annual Giving & Special Events
