Parents/Alumni

Benjamin faculty and staff welcome parents (or grandparents, other family members or friends) to share their expertise and experience with our school community.  Parents/Alumni are welcome to prepare and share an activity or presentation about an area of your expertise or interest. There are many ways this can happen, including:
- Speaking to a class or grade about your heritage or cultural traditions
- Assisting teachers with finding activities and information about Lower School Olympic countries
- Preparing an activity/presentation/event for students about a topic of interest in which you have expertise (e.g., financial literacy, health and wellness, entrepreneurship, volunteerism, civic engagement, etc.)
- Hosting an intern at your company, practice or organization

Faculty/Staff

Engage our parent and alumni community by inviting them (virtually for now) into the classroom to share their knowledge and support your curriculum content. Whether it involves preparing a presentation on a specific topic, developing an activity that complements a particular lesson or sharing knowledge/resources about an event, tradition or subject matter.  Some ideas include:
- Having a parent/alumni/friend speak about their heritage or cultural traditions
- Getting assistance finding activities and information about Lower School Olympic countries
- Inviting parents to prepare an activity/presentation/event for students about a topic of interest that supports your lesson plan (e.g., financial literacy, health and wellness, entrepreneurship, volunteerism, civic engagement, etc.)
