The BUCS opened the season at The American Heritage Invitational, one of the premier events in South Florida. Paced by seniors Alex Vogelsong and Henry Dubiel, the team opened a good lead heading to the back 9-holes. The BUCS finished with a record score of 288 which was a tournament record, and defeated golf powers American Heritage, St. Thomas Aquinas, Cardinal Gibbons and Columbus high school. Alex Vogelsong finished as the individual champion with a tremendous score of 67 (-5). Henry Dubiel finished 3rd with a score of 71(-1). The rest of the team played very well with scores of Sebastian Nachilly (75), Freshman James Key (75), Xander Kline (79) and Blake Bowen (81). This is the first time that another team beside American Heritage has won this tournament.
