Sara Salivar Named Dwyer Award Finalist in Benjamin First

Performing Arts Department Chair Sara Salivar has been named a finalist for the prestigious Dwyer Awards, marking the first time in school history a Benjamin faculty member has earned the distinction.

Salivar is one of just four finalists selected in her category, an honor that recognizes exceptional educators across Palm Beach County for their impact, innovation, and dedication to students. Her selection reflects years of commitment to cultivating creativity and excellence within Benjamin’s performing arts program.

The Dwyer Awards, now in their 42nd year, celebrate outstanding educators who go above and beyond in their classrooms and school communities. Finalists are chosen through a highly competitive process, making Salivar’s recognition especially significant, not only for her personally, but for the entire Benjamin community.

Over the next several weeks, Salivar will participate in a series of events leading up to the awards ceremony. Finalists will be honored at a reception in early April and will take part in a formal interview process with a panel of judges later in the month. In addition, a video profile highlighting her work and impact will be produced and showcased at the awards ceremony.

The celebration culminates on May 4 at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, where winners in each category will be announced during the annual Dwyer Awards ceremony.
