Four-star Cornerback Kaiir Elam Commits to UF On National Signing Day

Benjamin cornerback Kaiir Elam committed to the University of Florida on National Signing Day during a live ESPN Broadcast in the Didsbury Learning Commons.

Athletic Director Ryan Smith ‘93 introduced Elam, saying the number 48 player in the nation for the 2019 cycle, is kind, hardworking and humble.

Elam announced his decision live, pretending to don a Georgia cap before exchanging it for a Florida hat and doing a hearty gator chomp as the crowd of family, friends, journalists, teachers, students and fans exploded in applause. Elam's father, former NFL player Abe Elam, cried tears of joy as his son announced his decision.
