Students who
have previously purchased a laptop through the authorized vendor, as part of The Benjamin School’s Laptop Program, may be granted a
free loaner when all of the following conditions are met;
- The student’s computer has been brought to the Technology Center for diagnosis and has been determined to need repair.
- The student’s computer is being repaired in the Technology Center, has been sent for repair by The Benjamin School or the student has provided documentation showing they have sent the computer for repairs themselves.
If the student does not have their computer at school for any other reason (the computer was forgotten at home, it has been lost, it was sent to repair without visiting the Technology Center first, etc…) the student will not be provided with a loaner.
Students who choose to bring their own device are not elligible for a loaner from the school at any time.
There is a limited supply of loaner laptops. They are provided first come, first served and may not be available at all times.
Loaners should be returned within 48 hours of the student being notified that their own computer has been repaired. If the loaner is not returned within 48 hours, a charge of $10 per day will apply until the loaner is returned.
The student is responsible for the loaner which has been assigned to them. If it is damaged in any way, the family will be responsible for paying for the cost of repair. The student will be made to sign a letter agreeing to these terms before being assigned their loaner laptop.
Payment of all charges are to be made in the Technology Office. Either cash or check made payable to “The Benjamin School” are accepted.
