Last week, I found myself in Benjamin Hall introducing our first Stanton Leadership Lecture Series keynote speaker in some time. My excitement for the renewal of the series was matched by the positive energy of students, faculty, and parents in the theater.

The Stanton Leadership Speaker Series was founded in 2009 by Mr. Dan Stanton who served as Chairman of the Board at that time. It has welcomed prolific speakers from all walks of life - from entrepreneurs to famous athletes and individuals who have overcome tremendous obstacles to reach career highs.

Though sidelined during the pandemic, the series is now back and moving forward with great positive momentum!

Each guest speaker has shared words of wisdom and universal truth with our Benjamin audience and each has embodied our Benjamin Values in their work and lives. We are so fortunate to have such deep wells of knowledge and experience as part of our extended Buccaneer family.

PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh was no exception. He reflected on his role guiding the business strategy of one of the world’s largest sports organizations and highlighted the importance of philanthropy in his life.

Philanthropy has been a guidepost for Mr. Waugh, including his most recent endeavor, The Park, in West Palm Beach. In his address to our eighth through 12th grade students, Mr. Waugh discussed how three tenets (grit, grace, and gratitude) have served his personal and professional life and how those three values are so strongly represented in the Benjamin community.

You can visit our homepage to read more about Mr. Waugh’s speech and his work with The Park.

I’m eagerly awaiting our next speaker this Fall and the continuation of this exciting series. I would love to hear from you if you have any suggestions for future keynote speakers!
