BPA Hosts Annual Volunteer Fair

Marti Lotman
The Benjamin Parents Association hosted its annual Volunteer Fair August 25 on the Lower/Middle School Campus. BPA members from various committees welcomed parents and attendees to the event. Tables were set up in the gymnasium informing attendees of the numerous volunteer opportunities available within the School community. This year, the BPA rolled out a new electronic signup system that allowed volunteers to sign up for various committees electronically.

“The Volunteer Connection Breakfast had a wonderful turnout and was a great way for parents to learn about the many ways they can get involved on both campuses. Both attending parents and event coordinators felt the new electronic signup system worked seamlessly, and over 20 TBS committee chairs were pleased with the many parents who joined their teams,” said event coordinator Niki Zur.

“We hope parents who were not able to make it will log on to the Volunteer Connection website (through the TBS home page) to sign up and get involved as well. Volunteering not only enhances the educational experience for our children, but it’s a great way for parents to make friends across various grade levels and feel a greater connection to the school.”
